Do you like stars in the night sky?
Yes, they shine bright and look pretty.
We can’t see them during the day.
That’s true. Where do they hide?
The sun hides them because it’s too bright.
But they come out at night, right?
Yes, unless clouds cover the sky.
Who made up the star pattens?
Long ago, people saw shapes and named them.
Like the Big Bear, but I don’t see a bear.
That’s right, but the stars are actually far apart.
Really? They look like a picture to me.
夜空の星っていいよね？
うん、明るくて、きれい。
昼間は見えない。
そうね。どこに隠れてるの？
太陽が隠している。日光が明るすぎるから。
でも夜には星はでてくるでしょ。
そう。雲が空を覆っていなければね。
星座ってだれが考えたの？
昔の人が星座ののカタチを読み取って名づけたんだよ。
オオクマ座とか。でもクマなんかに見えないわ。
そうだね。実は星は遠く離れ離れなんだよ。
え、そうなの？絵みたいに見えるけど。
